CRUMS Leasing is a family-owned trailer leasing, parking, and storage company headquartered in San Antonio, TX. We've built a 5,000+ trailer fleet across 25+ locations by treating every owner-operator and fleet customer like part of the family — with reliable equipment, honest service, and a real human on the phone whenever they need us. As we expand our trailer storage operation and our service footprint, we're hiring a Customer Service Representative to be that trusted voice for our growing customer base.
As CRUMS's Customer Service Representative, you're the first person most customers talk to. You answer inbound lease and rental inquiries, walk new customers through onboarding, take payments, update accounts, coordinate with our dispatch and operations teams when a trailer or storage situation needs attention, and follow up with existing customers to keep relationships strong. You'll work closely with CRUMS leadership on customer escalations and become a fluent user of our systems — phone, CRM, payment processor, and our internal scheduling and dispatch tools. This is a front-line role with real ownership; if you like the trucking world and like helping people, you'll thrive.
Answer inbound calls, emails, and texts from prospects, lease customers, and storage customers — route or resolve each one quickly and professionally
Guide new customers through trailer lease and storage onboarding, including paperwork, payment setup, and orientation
Process customer payments, post lease and rental payments to accounts, and handle payment-method updates
Maintain accurate customer and account records in our CRM and accounting systems (training provided)
Coordinate with dispatch and yard operations when customers need a trailer assignment, swap, pickup, drop-off, or storage spot adjustment
Provide Saturday on-call coverage for driver emergencies when scheduled in rotation
Run retention and renewal follow-ups on existing accounts; flag at-risk customers and renewal opportunities to leadership
Resolve customer concerns calmly and document each interaction; escalate to leadership when an issue exceeds your authority
Help maintain inbound communication quality across our call-tracking and AI phone agent workflows
Be a friendly, professional face of CRUMS at the front desk when walk-ins arrive at the San Antonio yard
2+ years in a phone-based customer service role (call center, front-desk, dispatch, leasing office, or comparable)
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong phone etiquette and clear written communication — comfortable on the phone for most of the workday
Comfort with CRM software, basic computer skills, and learning new web-based tools
Basic math and accounting comfort — you'll handle payments and reconcile small discrepancies
Calm and professional under pressure — trucking is 24/7 and customers occasionally call in stressful situations
Willingness to be on-call for driver emergencies on scheduled Saturdays
Prior experience in trucking, logistics, leasing, equipment rental, RV/storage, or a CDL-adjacent industry is a strong plus
Familiarity with dispatch / TMS / property-management / leasing CRM tools (e.g., HouseCall Pro, McLeod, TMW) is a plus
Reliable transportation and a valid Texas driver's license; clean background and willingness to complete a pre-employment drug screen
Authorized to work in the United States
Competitive salary of $50,000/year
Schedule: Monday through Friday, with rotating Saturday on-call coverage for driver emergencies
